In this ongoing series each artwork is composed of two separately made screen prints built up of a number of layers. Screen printing is often combined with ink painting, pencil drawing or other media/techniques. By mounting two prints under a hand cut mat they enhance each other and form a harmonious unity at the same time. The shape of the mats give the pieces a monolithic character, whereas the surface itself invites the viewer to have a closer look at underlying layers of colours, patterns and marks.
